2. Controlling heater temperature by Contactor OR SSR has many disadvantages

3. Controlling temperature by Contactor has limitation of speed of operation, limited life of contactor as well as limited life of Heaters.

4. Controlling temperature by SSR has limitation of reliability of life of SSR

5. Another limitation of SSR is, it creates problem to DG sets and also current limit feature is not available with SSR

6. In certain application, initially heaters take high current and after some time heaters take correct value of current. In such application current limit is required

7. In another application, at night time voltage increases and thereby current. Here also current limit feature plays an important role.

8. Over current trip is also very important feature. One can set current trip at full

Output. In case Current exceeds that value Output trips protecting Thyristor Module.

9. For transformer ( Three Phase ) driven heater loads, Thyristor Controller is the best option

10. Semiconductor Fuse is recommended in series with our Thyristor Controller
